Human Rights Organizations Across Europe and Eurasia Join Forces to Address Widespread Violations of Liberties
Vilnius (4 December 2011)—In order to address the inadequate response of states and international organizations to ongoing human rights violations in Europe and Eurasia, 35 leading civil society organizations today launched Civic Solidarity, a new international platform for cooperation.

 The individual, who voluntarily goes to a medical institution to receive medical help, connected with use of drugs or other psychotropic substances without a medical prescription, is released from the administrative liability prescribed by law. The booklet is attached (in Armenian).
 Every individual has the right to receive free and paid medical help and care in the Republic of Armenia, irrespective of their nationality, race, sex, language, religion, age, health condition, and political or other views, social class, property or other conditions. The booklet is attached (in Armenian).
The report is based on the results of the research conducted in 209 and 2010 by the Group of Public Observers Conducting Monitoring of Penitentiary Institutions and Agencies of the RA Ministry of Justice. The full report (in Armenian) is attached.
Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor published the “Protection of Witnesses: Study” Report, supported by Organization of Security and Co-operation in Europe Office in Yerevan.
 The project "Formation of Young Peacebuilders’ Brigade" was implemented by Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor in cooperation with HCA Azerbaijani Committee and "Helsinki Initiative ‘92" of Nagorno Karabakh, with support of the British Embassy in Yerevan.

Monitoring was carried out in the Mental Health Facility of Lori region, the Vanadzor Nursing Home, and in the Vanadzor Children's Home during the period of October 3-25, 2007 . Before the monitoring letters were sent to RA Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, and to the RA Ministry of Healthcare informing them about the project's goals and the planned dates of monitoring; permission was given.  Geneva Conventions “On Treating Prisoners of War” were adopted on August 12, 1949 . Geneva Conventions and Additional Protocols are considered the most important sources of International Humanitarian Law. Armenia joined Geneva Conventions and Additional Protocols on March 31, 1993 .
