On June 30, 2010 the first court session took place on the case of Berd resident G. M. in Ijevan residence of the Court of Common Jurisdiction of Tavush region. G. M. is accused with point 4 of the second part of article 177 of RA Criminal Code – theft committed repeatedly.

Together for Peace


7ADGThe training course called "Together for Peace" organized by UNOY (United Network of Young Peace-builders), the Netherlands and Academy for Peace and Development, Tbilisi, Georgia, took place in Kobuleti, Georgia, on 11-19 June 2010. 26 participants from 14 countries came together to discuss conflict situations.

Armenian human rights advocates claim fight against corruption is ineffective


According to representatives of Transparency International Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Center, Journalists’ Club Asparez in Gyumri, and Vanadzor’s Helsinki Citizens Assembly (HCA), struggle against corruption in Armenia is not productive at all, "even though the statistical data of the Prosecutor-General’s Office show the opposite."
