They are Speculating a Case against Sakunts

 The authorities were not satisfied with simply declaring the Chairman of Helsinki Citzens’ Assembly-Vanadzor, Artur Sakunts, a ‘grant consumer.’ They are now speculating a case against Artur Sakunts at the Vanadzor Police Department for ‘false testimony’. Sakunts has already been invited to the Vanadzor Investigation Division. He takes the this fact normally. “Unfortunately human rights activism is considered extremely dangerous by the Armenian authorities as their actions are illegal.” P.S. Tert.am tried to deny our statement; however, they did not ask the question to the human rights activist correctly. Today, when we telephoned Artur Sakunts, he said: “Actually they asked me the wrong question. They asked me whether there was a case initiated against me, and I told them that there wasn’twas an ignorant question. As to a case being speculated against me, I can defend that there is a wish to do so and I have grounds to insist on it.” Source: www.hraparak.am
