Vano Yeghiazaryan vs. Artur Sakunts Trial Continues

The court examination of the claim of Lernapat Mayor, Vano Yeghiazaryan against the chairman of Helsinki Citizens Assembly-Vanadzor, Artur Sakunts, is scheduled for December 9, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the Lori Region Court of Common Jurisdiction (Judge B. Grigoryan, conference hall 2).
Vano Yeghiazaryan filed a lawsuit with the Lori Region Court of Common Jurisdiction, claiming reimbursement for damage caused to his honor, dignity and business reputation. Vano Yeghiazaryan finds that some statements made by Artur Sakunts in an interview in Vanadzor Khchankar harm his honor, dignity, and business reputation. The mayor demands that the court obligate Artur Sakunts publicly retract the defaming information through the same newspaper and reimburse 2 million AMD, as well as court expenses.
