Party Activity at Educational Institutions resonates with Intimidation. Human rights activists, Artur Sakunts expressed this opinion in a conversation with 1in.am, in response to a question whether political parties have the right to conduct their activity at educational institutions. “The tendency of conducting party activities at educational institutions, began during the previous elections, where they were recruiting members to the ARF, and then to the Rule of Law. I consider it to be a gross violation of human rights that,in essence, people are forced to join the party, because if they refuse to do so they will lose their jobs or have problems related to their business,” commentedthe activist. He added that there are several examples of it. He believes that if such a party meeting is held at an educational institution instead of the party headquarters, it speaks about the apparent intimidation from some politically neutral institutions, which is a gross violation of human rights. “It is an even stronger violation that such activity is conducted during working hours,” emphasized human rights activist, Artur Sakunts.
