Artak Nazaryan’s Court hearing in Yerevan

Tavush Region Court of Common Jurisdiction made a decision yesterday to move the trial of Artak Nazaryan’s case to one of the courts in Yerevan.

Although Judge Mardanyan did not grant the petition of Mushegh Shushanyan, the representative of the victim’s successor, about changing the jurisdiction area of the case, he decided to solve the issue by moving the venue of the hearings to Yerevan. It is noteworthy that at the previous session the judge had rejected the petition of the advocate to move the venue of the hearings to Yerevan.

Tsovinar Nazaryan, Artak Nazaryan’s sister and the member of the Army in Reality Group, believes that: “This is, surely, the product of the Army in Reality Group and generally our active fight over the issues in the army.”

Earlier the Minister of Defense, Seyran Ohanyan had also requested Tavush Region Court of Common Jurisdiction to change the court jurisdiction.
