There are Detainees over Aghasi Abrahamyan’s case, but New Arrests are pending

There are detainees over the death of soldier Aghasi Abrahamyan, born in 1992, who died at NK “Eghnikner” military unit on August 26.
David Karapetyan, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, has told Tert.am about it. A soldier and an officer from the military unit of Nagorno Karabakh have been arrested. “The circle of individuals who might have subjected him to violence has been disclosed, but I do not rule out the possibility that new individuals may be arrested in connection with the incident”, David Karapetyan told Henaran.am. The names of the arrested individuals are not published yet based on the preliminary investigation interests and the security of their family members. It should be noted that Aghasi Abrahamyan was hospitalized from the military unit in an unconscious state where he died. A number of injuries were revealed on the deceased soldier’s body. According to Henaran.am, yesterday Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan informed the journalists that the circle of people, having subjected him to violence, had been revealed. The minister confirmed the fact of force use on the body of the soldier. www.henaran.am
