On May 19, 2011, Lori Region Court of First Instance heard the preliminary trial regarding a claim submitted by Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor against the Vanadzor Municipality to abolish #75 Resolution of the Vanadzor Avagani and completely nullify the #76 Resolution.
The court trial, presided by Judge A. Alaverdyan, was attended by the plaintiff party representative, advocate Karen Tumanyan, and responding party representative, Hayk Davtayan. Pursuant to the Resolution, Vanadzor football stadium, in conjunction with 44,000 square kilometers, was donated to the RA Football Federation. The organization claims that the Court should annul the real estate contract signed based on the #75 Resolution. Because the subject of the dispute was about abolishing an administrative act, the Judge made a decision to enroll the RA Football Federation as a third party and cancel the trial for an undefined term.
