 “We knew that Courts are not independent, but yesterday’s resolution to resume the hearing of the case against “Zhamanak” daily filed by the Kocharyans testifies that they are also unpredictable”, Artur Sakunts, head of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor expressed his standpoint. According to the human rights activist, it poses a huge problem, because the judicial procedures must be predictable. Sakunts claims the court resolution testifies that political factors have an impact on the Judiciary. “The Court’s resolution is conditioned by the change of the authorities’ dispositions”, thinks Sakunts. “Unfortunately, we must mention that the Judiciary even depends on the political conjuncture”, notes the human rights activist.
