On March 25 of 2011, G. Melikyan’s advocate E. Marukyan submitted a claim to the RA Criminal Court of Appeal against the resolution taken by the RA Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts.
On March 14 of 2011, the RA Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts reached a decision to reject G. Melikyan’s claim (the latter had been illegally brought to the police department by a police officer) against the SIS interrogator. E. Marukyan claimed to completely satisfy the appeal by abrogating the March 14, 2011 resolution taken by the RA Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and the Nork-Marash Administrative Districts to adopt a new legal act and oblige the RA SIS to initiate criminal prosecution based on the submitted claim.
