Peacebuilding The Rights of Conflict Victims
/2010-February-05/
![]() On February 3, 2010, HCA Vanadzor organized the presentation of the film “Conflict Victims” made within the framework of the project “Formation of Young Peacbuilders’ Brigade.” Young journalists from Armenia, the heroes of the documentary - the family of the former prisoner of war and parents of missing persons, NGOs, representatives of political parties and media outlets participated in the presentation.
The goal of the project was to involve youth in peacebuilding processes, to form among them tolerance, the wish to solve the conflict only in a peaceful way and finally raise the problems of conflict victims with the help of young people. Therefore, young journalists were selected from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh to make the film.
The film tells about the fate of conflict victims – refugees, relatives of missing persons and former prisoners of war who live in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh.
The former prisoners of war from Armenia and Karabakh tell the story of their captivity, at the same time stress the necessity for peaceful future.
The relatives of missing persons have the same pain in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh. The uncertainty is the worst thing for them.
The film “Conflict Victims” was made within the framework of the project “Formation of Young Peacbuilders’ Brigade” with the support of the British Embassy in Armenia.
