Why did a war break out in South Ossetia, in one of hot points of South Caucasus?Which were the reasons for the conflict between Georgia and South Ossetia to change from negotiations into a war? What impact will the military actions have on the other countries of the region and why is it impossible to escape it? On August 21, at 12:00 p.m., human right’s defender, coordinator of Helsinki Citizens' Assembly-Vanadzor Arthur Sakunts holds a press conference on these issues in “Friday” club. In spite of the numerous comments and analyses the main question in agenda is to study deeper and to reveal the reasons, as a consequence of which the tension of the frozen conflict became possible. The hostilities in Georgia due to the South Ossetia conflict, and then direct participation of the Russian army caused numerous deaths. The Russian-Georgian conflict entered the territory of Georgia not only with the entrance of Russian army, but also with the bombing of settlements, which were out of the conflict zone. It was possible to stop military operations owing to international mediation, but the situation is still tense. At the same time, related to the situation media outlets became participants of the information war.
