Michael Danielyan was Shot

Today, at about 15:00, an unknown person shot at the chairman of Armenian Helsinki Association, Michael Danielyan on Teryan street of Yerevan.

At first the incident seemed to happen on some domestic ground: according to Michael Danielyan’s friend, they were standing at the traffic lights in their car, when Michael Danielyan noticed his friend walking along Teryan street and greeted him from the car.
  At that moment the BMW car behind theirs started to honk, and when right defender Michael Danielyan turned to ask what the matter was, a young man came out of the car and said: “It is enough, we are fed up with you, you are a puppy for the CIA, you are defending gays.” Then he took out his revolver and shot at Michael Danielyan’s chest. Fortunately, the injury is not serious, as according to preliminary information, the unknown criminal shot with a pneumatic gun. Though there were blood stains on Michael Danielyan, he was not provided with medical aid, as the police had taken him to the central Police station before the ambulance arrived. The friend accompanying Danielyan informed A1+ that when they were being taken to the police department, the criminals were still in the place of accident.
  According to eye witnesses, the person who shot at Michael Danielyan is Tigran Ulikhanyan, famous to Armenian society, the former leader of Armenian Progressive Party, who was also taken to police.
