On January 28, at about 17:40, 30 policemen came to Levon Ter-Petrossian’s pre-election office in Kapan and demanded to vacate the area. According to the head of the office Roman Navasardian the policemen were very rude to the members of the office and they pushed them out. They didn’t even allow taking their pre-election belongings and documents. The territory is private and belongs to a woman who is a nurse. She gave the premises on rent for two months but the governor Surik Khachatryan invited the woman and told her to write an application that she hadn’t known the area would be used as an office and with her application asks the governor to help her to return the premises. The governor sent a message to the police and prosecutor’s office to deal with the nurse’s application and request. The policemen visited the pre-election campaign office stating that there was a complaint for vacating the premises. “Of course, this is not a criminal case, it is a civil one and the problem will be solved in the court.” According to the head of the office they expect the court trial on January 30, but in fact, the office was vacated forcedly by the police without the court’s decision.
